How To Connect A LiftMaster Garage Door Opener With MyQ App
Step By Step
Connect with Apple® iOS mobile device
1. Create a MyQ account (instructions below). If you already have one, log into the MyQ app.
2. On the Device screen, tap the + (plus) sign in the upper right corner.
3. Tap Garage Door Opener with Wi-Fi Ceiling Installed on the Device Setup screen.
4. Review information on the What You Need screen and tap Next.
5. Choose the type of Wall Control (view chart) that looks like your product and follow the instructions to activate Wi-Fi learn mode.
6. In the app, tap Next.
7. Tap Yes when you hear a beep.
8. Leave the myQ app and go to your phone's Wi-Fi settings.
9. Tap the network that begins with myQ-XXX.
10. Return to the myQ app and tap Next.
11. Select your home Wi-Fi network from the list.
12. Enter your network password and tap Next. Your garage door opener is now connecting.
13. Name your garage door opener and tap Next.
14. Tap Finish to see your new device listed in the app.
15. Tap the garage door to activate the opener.
Connect with an Android mobile device
1. Create a myQ account (instructions below). If you already have one, log into the myQ app.
2. Make sure when prompted in the app, you enable Location settings
3. Tap Garage Door Opener with Wi-Fi Ceiling Installed on the Device Setup screen.
4. Review information on the What You Need screen and tap Next.
Note: Tap each checkbox after you review the information. You can then tap I'm Ready to continue.
5. Choose the type of Wall Control (view chart) that looks like your product and follow the instructions to activate Wi-Fi learn mode.
6. Tap the network that begins with myQ-XXX on the Discovered screen.
7. Select your home Wi-Fi network from the list.
8. Enter your network password and tap Next. Your garage door opener is now connecting.
9. Name your garage door opener and tap Next.
10. Tap Finish to see your new device in the app.
11. Tap the garage door to activate the opener.
